Jordan Retro 6 Carmine- Youth(GS)

It’s easy to lose sight of all of the heat that Jordan Brand is continuously releasing, but the the “Carmine” 6 is one of those pairs that every sneakerhead has had marked in their calendars all year.

MJ debuted this colorway the season following his first championship, and it held its own when compared to other classic Jordan 6 colorways like the Black/Infrared and White/Infrared. The Carmine 6′s have always been one of the most sought after shoes in the game because of how limited they are.

We haven’t seen a retro since the Countdown Pack in 2008, which means you’d have to resort to buying them off a reseller to get your hands on a pair anytime in the last six years. This new drop follows the recent Jordan Brand trend with a more blueish icey bottom, but there is little room to complain when it comes to this classic.

It is easy to get caught up in how beautiful this colorway is, but let’s not forget how amazing the Jordan 6 design is, too. Designed by one of the greatest footwear designers of all time, Tinker Hatfield, the 6 was inspired by the generation 964 Porsche 911 Turbo that MJ was whipping around Chi Town in the early ’90s. With that kind of inspiration and flawless colorblocking, it’s no surprise that the Carmine 6′s are a classic.
