The original black and red Air Jordan XI returned once again, in 2012. This marked this colorways third retro release as it was previously released in 2001 and 2008. Coming in black, varsity red and white, unlike the previous holiday Air Jordan 11 Retro releases, this colorway did not come in a special box. However, they did feature the plastic cover as well as matching red plastic shoe trees. A general release, they were available at select Jordan Brand accounts worldwide in 2012. Retail was $185, $5 higher than 2011's Air Jordan 11 Retro release.
